June as started out to be a very busy month. We were accompanied by Hazel & Bob Young, Karen & Ted Zitnay and Pat & Dick Thibaudeau for the OCP Training up in Gorham, NH on June 5 & 6. We had a great time learning with good friends. We are very glad that we attended this training we feel that we learned a lot of things that we didn’t know and refreshed our memories on thing we did know.

Hi All! Yes it is me holding up the newsletter again. I seem to be running on ―Roxanne Standard Time‖. Time just slips away. I never seem to feel that I have accomplished much, but I look around and see the results, so I guess I have done something.

Well here we are again with another month just flying by. The past weekend was sure a teaser for what will hopefully be a wonderful riding season.
The month of March has been one of snow and torrential downpours. Flooding out a lot of our streets. Yet on the days when the sun was out brightly and the temperatures were up in riding ranges. We had to err on the side of caution and keep “R-Wing” parked. Our road has been eroded badly and this season is locally and aptly called “mud season”.

Hello to one and all! We have had an interesting month. It is not one that we would like to do over any time soon. We had our son, daughter in law and the grandchildren move in with us on New Year’s Day. They moved out February 6th.

A huge apology to all for having to cancel the dine out. The weather forecast looked a bit foreboding. As the old New England adage goes: "If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute".

As Thanksgiving approaches we should all take a little time to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Even though we all have our problems and difficulties and some of them might be quite serious – we can all look around us and see a multitude of blessings.

Well the calendar says it is Autumn but it might be Winter. It’s hard to tell with the weather as cold as it has been. Most of us even had some snow the other day! I guess that it is not all that unusual, I remember going out Trick-or-Treating as a kid with my snowsuit on under my costume and trudging through the snow. Hopefully, the kids this year won’t have to do that.

Welcome to Autumn everyone. What a beautiful time of year. The only downside is that the end of the riding season is quickly approaching. You can feel the chill in the air each morning but the afternoons warm up.

It’s hard to believe that we are now at the end of July. Where did the time go? But despite the rainy weather we have managed to get in a few chapter rides. Maybe if we convince the powers that be (with a little help from Loretta) that we have had enough rain for one summer we’ll be able to get in a few more rides. Believe it or not, one town that we rode through in Southern Massachusetts has a water ban in effect !!!

Wow, it is the end of May already. Can you believe it? Our riding season is in full swing. We have been lucky enough to only have one rain out so far. With any luck we will not have too many more. It’s so great to get out there on the road with a group of good friends.

We finally made it to Spring !!!! We are thrilled that it is finally here as I am sure all of you are. Crocus and daffodils and green grass and ice storm damage – oops how did that get in there? Ted & I took the bike out for our first ride of the season and it felt like heaven to be back out on the road. The first couple of rides each season is always peppered with questions … Do you remember where we put suchand-such? Did you remember to bring this-and-that? It always takes a while to get “the system” up and running smoothly. We’ll just have to take a few more rides I guess. That definitely won’t be a heart breaker, I can tell you that.

Well it’s Spring. We finally made it !!! This seemed like an unusually long winter for sure. Now that most of the snow has melted, we are working at cleaning up the damage caused by December’s ice storm and looking carefully around the yard for those crocuses and tulips to poke their heads up.

Another successful year for NH-E is almost behind us, and what a year it’s been! We cannot express our appreciation to all the members of Chapter E deeply enough! We have enjoyed our new responsibilities as your Chapter Directors and hope to grow and improve as time goes on.
This year, as a chapter, we have faced many challenges. It started off with skyrocketing gasoline prices. The cost of gas made a lot of us think twice before heading out on the bike but when we did venture out we had a blast! We also faced a multitude of weather related issues – rain, hail, oppressive heat, snow, ice, you name it.

Another month has flown by, in fact another season Summer has gone, and Autumn is officially here, although at this time we are having a touch of Indian summer, so ride while you can. Time is running short!
We got lots of rain on our Hobo Stew, but we still did an awesome job, what a great team we are! As usual Donna and Rick led us in a successful event. Donna and Rick have decided to step down as coordinators of our Hobo Stew and we will certainly miss them, although they plan to be around to provide assistance, their leadership will be truly missed. Rick has already prepared flyers for next year, and he and Ted have booked the American Legion for next September 7th. Thanks! We hope to see you all there so mark your calendars now!! You are what makes this event so successful, we need you all, every one’s job is important!
