Autumn has definitely arrived! What glorious color !!! I don’t think that it has been this brilliant in years. I’m guessing that it has a lot to do with all the rain that we had this year. The moisture has kept the lawns a vibrant green that makes the color of the leaves just POP.
We have had a few good foliage rides this month. On October 5th the scheduled ride was to Chelle’s Diner in Connecticut but it was raining down south. Bruce offered to lead us on a tour of New Hampshire back roads. He led us down roads that we had never traveled before. What beautiful scenery !!!! Great job, Bruce. Thank you for stepping up to lead the ride.

Hobo Stew has come and gone. Again, this year it was a big success and we have you, our members, to thank for it. Our members jumped right in and worked their tails off. Thank you for all of your help, guidance and support. This task was something that scared the dickens out of us but you came though like always.
We are already making notes and jotting down suggestions for next year. If you have any ideas or thoughts, please send us an email so that we can print it out and place it in the Hobo Stew notebook. We want to document all the input so that next year will be even better.
Thanks again, everyone.

NH-E Director’s Message Pat and Dick Thibaudeau It is with mixed emotions that we write this month’s newsletter article to all our friends in Chapter E. As many of you know effective August 1st, Dick and I will be assuming the N. H. District Direct position. Dick says I have to keep the record straight and that I am the Director, but no matter what he says, I know that he will provide lots of support behind the scenes. It will be our privilege to serve GWRRA in this capacity, and we are certain that we will enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed being Chapter Directors. My biggest fear is that I will not be able to do as great a job as previous District Directors but, I do promise you that we will do our best.
Ted and Karen Zitnay have graciously agreed to be Chapter E’s Directors, and we have no doubt that they will do an excellent job and that Chapter E will flourish with their leaderships. We were extremely fortunate to have them as our assistants, and Chapter E is extremely lucky to have such great people as Directors.

Wow, it hardly seems possible that June is almost gone already. There are so many special days, in June Americade, Flag Day, Father’s Day, First Day of Summer, graduations, weddings, the list goes on and on. The month just flew by. Loretta, Paul, Margo and Bruce got to enjoy the entire week at Americade. Pat B. got to spend a few days at Lake George and many other chapter members went up for a day or two. It sure is a great place to meet other GWRRA friends, and a great place to spend lots of money, very few of us ever escape without purchasing a few trinkets for ourselves or for our bikes.

We all have heard the expression that “the only thing constant is change” and as you can see we have
changed the format of our news letter. We thought it was time to update our cover page, and we hope you like it! We now have a Region B logo and wanted to incorporate that in our news letter. Special thanks to Karen for all her assistance with the finished product. (In case you haven’t noticed my computer skills are limited, and it is wonderful to have Karen by my side, or should I say leading me.)

Riding Season has finally arrived! Yipee!!!!!
We thought it would never come, but for the last ten days or so, we have just had perfect riding weather.
Dick and I took a short ride last Friday, but got in a good ride on Saturday to Venco Wings. All the snow
is gone from our yard, and we are trying to do a few outside jobs before the wonderful May flies arrive.
On Sunday, five of us went down to R.I. B’s kick off breakfast, the food was good, and a few of us won
door prizes. Rick came without Donna, he was sporting a sty in his eye, and Donna has still not
completely recovered with her bout of Shingles.

Well, spring is almost here. Yipee!!! Now if the weather could just agree with the
calendar. Dick and I are quite concerned that the Easter Bunny may lose his way, with all this snow and
we certainly don’t want to miss out on any Easter candy.
As most of you know, our Arizona trip got cancelled due to a mishap we encountered with out travel
trailer in Virginia. The good news is we were not injured, and our tow vehicle is fine, We are now the
proud owners of a beautiful 2008 travel trailer, the bad news is, we now have a new payment, and have
had to endure all this lousy weather as well. Oh well such is life!! We are uncertain if we will be going
to Florida or not, but should we go, Ted and Karen will be holding the March meeting. Chapter E is so
fortunate to have such great Assistant Directors we appreciate all they do for us and for the chapter.

Hi Everyone, Hope you all are surviving the cold, snow and rain, remember Spring is only one month away!!!!! Dick and I are hoping that we all be rewarded this spring, summer and fall with some good New England riding weather. Dreaming of sunny skies and good riding days is keeping us all going during this long winter.
We had our ride schedule meeting last Sunday in the SNOW, and we came up with some new rides and included some old favorites. Thanks to Rick and Donna for allowing us to use the Park Office, and for all their assistance, setting up chairs, shoveling snow, and printing up our ride schedules. A copy of the ride schedule is attached, we tried to add more picnic rides, keeping in mind the rising cost of fuel, and knowing that riding, dining out and visiting a zoo, museum, etc. can get very costly. Our members provided an excellent potluck, and our newest member Tony, made a cake that our Director and Assistant really enjoyed. Tony made the recipe himself, if only he could remove the calories.

Happy New Year! 2007 is gone and we look forward to another great year in 2008 with our Chapter E Friends.
Snow, Snow, and more snow, old man winter has certainly got us in his gripe this year January is almost over but it feels that winter is never ending, the winter months don’t pass by nearly as quickly as the summer months. At this time of year we all dream about riding our wings. Speaking of riding, please remember to join us for our ride schedule meeting on February 10th at the Monadnock Coop Park Office. This is the time to voice your opinion on our group rides next summer, and enjoy some of NH E’s cooking. There will be a potluck dinner following the meeting. Ted and Karen along with Fred and Lisa have researched some great ideas for next year. We will be e-mailing their ideas and have hard copies available for members at our January meeting, so that you can review them before prior to the meeting. We would like to show a GW educational video at the meeting.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! Well the weather outside is certainly frightful!
Winter officially arrives today on the calendar, but it sure looks and feels like it has been here for quite some time. It appears our weather has been unseasonably cold, however while we were in Florida, the weather was much warmer than usual. Most days the temperatures were above 80 degrees, with only one day that required a sweatshirt early in the day.
We had a wonderful vacation with our family and we enjoyed many laughs on some of the amusement rides with the grandsons. We are already planning our next get away hopefully we will make it out to Arizona in February. If we could just take the Wing with us it would be just perfect, we are always envious when we see folks enjoying their bikes in the great weather, and ours is at home in the garage.

Fall is definitely here and it appears that riding season is officially over. The weather feels more like winter than fall, and I fear that we may soon be seeing a few snowflakes!
We held our first dine out on Sunday, November 11th at Nicks in Keene, and we had 15 members attend. The food was great, and we all enjoyed each other’s company. We shared lots of laughs and chatter. Speaking of sharing did you know that Loretta does not share well. Loretta told Paul that she would share her dessert with him, but when dessert arrived and he attempted to take a bite Loretta pulled her ice cream away and would not even give him a spoonful. Oh, did we mention that Paul’s’ spoon was an industrial size utensil. Hmmm, how did Paul get such a spoon, just ask Deputy Frog for more information.

Another month has flown by, the leaves are falling, and riding season will soon come to an end.We have enjoyed some beautiful riding weather in October, but the cold weather is quickly approaching so get outside and enjoy whatever days you can, preferably riding, but
golfing, yard work or whatever you do, is more enjoyablein this beautiful New England weather. We have enjoyed a couple of pretty foliage rides, Paul and Loretta took us on a ride through western Ma. that Roy Bushey had showed them, we traveled through towns we did not know existed in Ma., and yesterdays ride was quite picturesque as well. Hopefully, we will get to have one final ride next Sunday after our monthly get together.

Another month has flown by, in fact another season Summer has gone, and Autumn is officially here, although at this time we are having a touch of Indian summer, so ride while you can. Time is running short!
We got lots of rain on our Hobo Stew, but we still did an awesome job, what a great team we are! As usual Donna and Rick led us in a successful event. Donna and Rick have decided to step down as coordinators of our Hobo Stew and we will certainly miss them, although they plan to be around to provide assistance, their leadership will be truly missed. Rick has already prepared flyers for next year, and he and Ted have booked the American Legion for next September 7th. Thanks! We hope to see you all there so mark your calendars now!! You are what makes this event so successful, we need you all, every one’s job is important!
